OUR 2012 FALL CHARITY brings together rescue dogs and at risk youth that are living at St. Joe's Home for Children. They live in group homes, attend therapy programs, and of course, go to school. In between all that and the difficulties that they are facing, there isn't a lot of time to just have fun and be a kid for them.
But what's more fun and kid-like than kickball? If you stood up at your desk, fist pumped, and yelled "nothing!" then you are on the right track my friend, because the answer is nothing. At our board meeting at the beginning on the season we discussed not only giving money, but our time, and here's your chance! We will be putting on a kickball game with the kids! Hurray! An extra day of kickball!
The game will take place, Monday October 29th from 6:00 to 7:30 at St. Joe's Home for Children (1121 East 46th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55407).
There are about 20 kids in the ARLP PRIORITY Paws Program, so we are looking for 20-30 volunteers to play, ref, and just be awesome at the game.
Please email your honey of a Charity Chair, Ms. Michelle Hogler at firstname.lastname@example.org and volunteer you time!
