Week 4: Ball So Hard

SWEEP TO SWEPT, BALL SO HARD SHOT A COW

Bryn Mawr, MN - Ball so Hard started off week four strong with a clean officiating performance from Roger, Cory, and Phil. Led by some correct foul calls by Roger. With the game looming, newcomer, Emily came through big for the team by finding a box full of booze at place and having in trunk to help get the team where they needed to be by the start of the match.

Falling down by two quickly in the top of the first, Ball so Hard battled back with one of their own in the bottom with a single by Lauren M. a double by Jason and a sac fly by Carlos. Boot by Foot tacked on another in the second to push the lead to 3-1. A couple of dive attempts by Cory J. at the hot corner and a spectacular double play by Halaina led the defensive attack for a pair of innings. A quick homerun in the top of the fourth pushed Boot by Foot head 4-1. Ball so Hard countered with two of their own with three singles in a row by Adam, Erin and Annie. The score remained unchanged until the top of the seventh when Boot by Foot poured it own with four coming across home plate. Ball so Hard did not threaten in the bottom half of the inning to complete the game. With the record sitting at 2-2, Ball so Hard is right where they want to be mid season.

The focus turned to the bar scene. The team came in very confident in their flippy cup skills coming off a 4-0 victory last week, only to drop the second game of the two game set 3-4. Boot by Foot proved to be too superior with quick drinking and smooth flipping.

Ball so Hard will look put the week behind them in week 5 as the will try to shake the Stage Five Clingers @ 6:30 p.m. on field 2. Team finally took some photos as you’ll see with a couple of photo bombs. Song of the week… we’ll fight til it’s over, like the ceiling can’t hold us (fyi: the music video is incredible so a strong recommendation to watch it… dog sleds and camels in the same video, really?!)
