Gauntlet of Bar Games: Week 8 Recap

Gauntlet of Bar Games: Week 7

Thank you all so much for participating in WAKA’s second annual Gauntlet Winter Bar League.  I appreciate all your support (and patience with me) as we worked through any kinks with the weekly games.  And a big thanks to all those that helped out each week.

I look forward to seeing you for our final week of bar games on Sunday. Be sure to bring your creativity and drawing skills – the challenge this weekend will be PICTIONARY! Check out your current ranking below to find out how many points you’ll need to take over first place!

Gauntlet of Bar Games: Week 6 Recap

We don’t have any pictures from Bingo besides the Jerry Kill photo... The updated rankings are there (below) and more fun ( and hopefully celebrity sightings :) ) to come next Sunday!

Gauntlet of Bar Games: Week 5 Recap

Bored? Don't have anything to do today? Have a scavenger hunt!
Never heard of a scavenger hunt? Well, then you are stupid, but here’s how it works. Get a bunch of your friends together and divide into teams. Set a time to find as many things as possible on the list below. The team with the most items from the list at the end of that time wins and creativity counts! No friends around? That's OK. Walk around Station 280 and ask random patron’s to join the WAKA Spring Kickball League.

And Scavenger Hunt we did last week! Even with teams of only 2 or 3 players, we managed to take over Station 280 last week. Thanks to everyone who took shots of Jack, made duck faces, wore their other players shirts, and even those who were planking on tables. The winning team even convinced a fellow patron to join our kickball league in the Spring – and WOW does he take his kickball seriously.

This week we’ll be meeting early to test your stupidity at 12pm by playing BINGO!!!

Gauntlet of Bar Games: Week 4 Recap

With the close of the actual Olympics, we created our own backyard Olympics with all “b” themed events. Our reigning champions coming into week 4 stayed were able to take second this week with enough overall points to keep them in the first place slot.

However, Shots for Everyone came out on top this week winning almost every game except one bowling event against Vodka Red Balls.

Previously in second place coming into the week, Vodka Red Balls had a poor performance dropping them into third.

Although our fourth place team, 50 Shades of Cray, had a tough day of competition, their blaze orange mascot did stand out among the crowd.

Pictures and overall rankings below, enjoy your week and we’ll see you next Sunday for some more fun.

Current Ranking:	Team Name:	Points:
First Place	Kick This	143
Second Place	Shots for Everyone	127
Third Place	Vodka Red Balls	109
Last…	50 Shades of Cray	83

XOXO

Gauntlet of Bar Games Week 3 Recap

We had a small, but very loveable group on Sunday. Teams competed in various bar games including darts, pool, skee-ball, and shuffleboard all wearing red in honor of Cupid.

The games came down to a tie between Kick This and Vodka Red Balls… leading to an intense game of flip cup.

Vodka Red Balls came out on top with and a great GRAND PRIZE somehow donated by Timmy… Sam’s Darts J. Some of the VRB team were even generous enough to donate their other winnings back to the group to sweeten the pot for next week’s winners.

After the official Gauntlet games concluded, things got a little wild. Lumberjacks started eyeing up ladies in the bar… players started to practice punching... but luckily no one kissed Steve.

For pictures and team rankings, be sure to check back here each week. Current standings for the overall Gauntlet are as follows:

First Place Kick This
Second Place Vodka Red Balls
Third Place 50 Shades of Cray
Last… Shots for Everyone

Gauntlet of Bar Games Week 2: Olympic Twister!

The Olympics began last week, and so did our Olympic-sized Twister Tournament.

Congrats to the winners Cory Grimm and Trevor from round 1! But they were both beat out by the overall winner Caroline – she proved to be more flexible than the other top 5 contestants! Team scores based on player success are as follows:

1st Place - 50 Shades of Cray

2nd Place - Kick This

3rd Place - Shots for Everyone

4th Place - Vodka Red Balls

With love in the air this week as we approach Valentine's Day - we expect that you'll love the bar games competition next week.
