WAKApalooza Las Vegas - October 8th!

WAKApalooza 2016 in Las Vegas.  So many parties.  So many friends.  So many bad decisions to make.

 

The #1 question we keep getting is "What kickball tournament should I play in?"

 

Well, it all depends.   This year we have 3 different kickball tournaments.   And hopefully the breakdown below will help you decide on which event is best for you and your friends.  Feel free to forward this to friends and players who might need some help.

note:   Try to decide and sign up this week.  Prices go up August 1st.

 

FOUNDERS CUP

What:  The World Championship of WAKA Kickball

Time:  9am - 7pm, Silver Bowl Park

Who:  Featuring the best league and regional teams across the country.    

Roster:  Teams must request a bid and qualify.   There are very strict roster and free agent restrictions.

Ideal:  For really competitive or veteran kickball teams.   Show up to fields super early, completely sober, and no drinking until after team has been eliminated.

Prize:  over $15,000 in prizes for the Top 4 teams, including $10k to 1st place.

# of Teams:   Expecting about 36-40 teams

FUN GAMES

What:  The Complete Opposite of Founders Cup

Time:  1pm - 6pm, Silver Bowl Park

Who:  Featuring teams who like to be in ridiculous costumes, hate bunting, and love dancing, singing, and drinking all while playing kickball.

Roster:  Open roster.  Anyone can play.   Full teams, friend groups, and free agents welcome.

Ideal:   The most creative party animals who don't care about competitive kickball.  Instead, teams and players compete on spirit, swag, and creativity.  Teams have brought their own DJ's, bounce houses, or even built their own pirate ship or wrestling ring.    Players show up hung over, drink during games, and drink more after games.

Prize:  Nearly $3000 in prizes in half a dozen categories, including bottle service, gift cards, free registrations, and more.

# of Teams:  Expecting about 40-48 teams

KICKBALL OPEN (new)

What:  The PERFECT middle ground between Fun Games and Founders Cup

Time:  9am - 6pm, Silver Bowl Park

Who:  Featuring teams who want to actually play some real kickball, but not at the insane level of FC or the craziness of Fun Games.

Roster:  Open roster.  Anyone can play.   Full teams, friend groups, and free agents welcome.

Ideal:   New players, competitive players, free agents, and people who can have fun without taking things too seriously.   Players don't show up hungover, but certainly wouldn't mind drinking in-between games to take the edge off a little.  

Prize:  Over $2500 for 1st and 2nd place.
