Bryn Mawr, MN – A late arriving Ball so Hard team collected themselves and took the field briskly in the top of the first, having no idea that the contest they were about to embark on was going to a grueling hard fought battle. With zero scores through the first three innings for either team, Ball so Hard huddled up for a team meeting. After much discussion it was determined that to ball so hard, you must score at least one run. The top of the lineup provided the spark they were looking for. A Single by Abby and Brad set the table for the Laurens. With back to back run scoring kicks by L. Mall-Kin and L. Hoy-Er, Ball so Hard exceded their own expectations as expected to double their goal of scoring one run, by scoring two runs. The two runs would hold as superb pitching and defense locked up the Stage Five Clingers for the 2-0 shutout. Lauren and Lauren combined to go 4-4 with 2 RBI’s to lead the team in all offensive categories, other than runs where Carlos and Brad each had one. Halaina and Jason also went 2 for 2 to increase their average to a higher level than it was before the game.
Ball so Hard will face Pitches be Crazy at 7:30 p.m. on field 4 in next week’s match-up as they will look to keep the one game win streak alive and improve on the salty 3-2 record.
